Circular Exchange Event
Introduction
Circular Exchange is an annual event that promotes the development of the market for circular products and services in Nigeria.
The Challenge/Need:
Circular Exchange was developed having observed a large gap between the developing circular businesses and marketing their products. It is absolutely not enough to promote and develop circular businesses if there are not enough market opportunities for circular products and services.
Event Facilitation
Lagos, Nigeria
Solution
CEIP then developed the Circular Exchange as an annual ecosystem gathering to forge conversations around promoting circularity and markets around it. The following are some of the components:
-
Circular procurement marketplace:
The circular procurement marketplace is where we create markets for circular products. We do this by bringing ecosystem producers to exhibit and we encourage event participants to patronise this marketplace. -
Circular Event Management:
We use the Circular Exchange event to build a case for sustainable and circular events. We do this by ensuring circularity principles are followed in procurement and vendor management. -
Circular Facility Management:
We encourage our event venues to embrace circularity and proper waste management.
Results
An increase in demand for circular products.
Our partner facilities are more aware of circular and sustainable facility management
Conclusion
Circular Exchange is an ecosystem building event and the practicality of product and market conversations has helped the Circular Economy discourse become less abstract.
